Sylvia Peters

 

 

Sylvia Peters is recognized as a national leader in public education. She became a founding partner in The Edison Project and the Director of Education for the Enterprise Foundation. Her projects have transformed public schools and communities in Chicago, Baltimore, Los Angeles and Atlanta. Peters wrote and received several significant grants to replicate her successes and in the process raised funds to support public education. Peters is a graduate of the National College of Education in Evanston, IL and Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. Sylvia and her husband Jan F. Peters live in Knoxville, TN and are avid art collectors and gardeners. She serves on the Knoxville Museum of Art board of trustees; WUOT Public Radio Station advisory board, Knoxville, TN; and the American Craft Council board of trustees, Minneapolis, MN. Mrs. Peters’ latest venture is the founding of Legacy Works a media production company.

Trey Townsend

Trey Townsend is a young filmmaker born in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1992. Despite his age, Trey is quickly adapting to the world of producing outstanding work for television and film. He has nearly five years experience of creating high quality productions. A graduate of Fulton High School in Knoxville, he’s immersed himself in television and entertainment. Trey’s accomplishments include 1st place at the Tennessee Skills USA Competition in Television Production in 2010 and 2nd place in the Knoxville Metropolitan Drug Commission’s A Parent Miscommunication PSA Contest. He wrote, directed, and starred in several short films including “Drama on North Broadway” and “This is How We Roll.” Continuing his film-making aspirations with Legacy Works, Trey directs and is a founding partner. Trey is excited about the future of Legacy Works and has huge aspirations for the company and himself.

 

 

Music Coordinator

Daniel Rhodes

 

 

Daniel Rhodes is a musician and videographer for Legacy Works. Daniel has played the guitar and drums for years and now plays piano as well. While attending Fulton High School, Daniel became the Commanding Officer of the Navy ROTC. He received many honors and awards while in this position and considered a career in the United States Navy. Music has been Daniel’s passion and he is eager to pursue that passion with Legacy Works.
